Crowns

  1. Crowns are used as a treatment for broken or heavily-restored teeth
  2. Usually unnoticeable and largely metal-free
  3. A number of different types of crown available

Q: What is the purpose of a crown?
A: A dental crown is used to cover and strengthen teeth that have been broken and/or have been heavily restored.

Q: I think I may be a suitable candidate for a crown, but I am concerned that it won't look right. Are they noticeable?
A: In the vast majority of cases, a crown is completely unnoticeable due to the fact that they are natural-looking and are also typically-metal free. We are confident that a crown will serve to dramatically improve the appearance of a broken or heavily restored tooth.

Q: I understand that there are a number of different crowns available. Which would be the most suitable for me?
A: There are indeed a number of different types of crown available, but the suitability of each and the circumstances in which they can be applied are very much dependent on factors relating to the individual patient. The best thing to do if you feel a crown would be a suitable treatment for you is to book a consultation, during which you will be advised on the best possible solution for your tooth/teeth.

Q: I am interested in having a crown fitted and would like to book an appointment at Grosvenor Place. How can I do this?
A: Please do not hesitate to book your appointment with us by either registering your interest using the function on our website, or by calling us directly at the practice on 01352 753 777.
